Comfort Foods
I've been feeling nauseous for the last few days for some reason
(maybe the antibiotic I'm on). Today I felt really bad. I decided
we needed to make some good ol' comfort foods.Patrick helped
make several chicken pot pies we are going to freeze some.
He used to make this recipe for chicken pot pie all the time.
He got all creative with his pie crust and made a "C" for chicken
on one and on the other one he did he made an actual chicken.
They turned out great! They were so yummy!
I decided I needed to have dessert to go with this, so I made a
really easy and yummy Cherry Cobbler. That too was so
yummy hot out of the oven with vanilla ice cream.
I still don't feel great, but at least we all enjoyed a really
good dinner.
Bye Bye Izzy.....

Friday Night Picnic
got some antibiotics. Patrick headed off to work early tonight
where he enjoyed dinner. He told me that I should take the kids
out to eat as well. The only thing I really wanted was some
good soup & fresh fruit. I decided to get take out from Jason's
Deli. After the kids & I picked up our food we headed to the
Alameda Open Space for a picnic. We dined under the beautiful
cottonwood trees. After we finished eating the kids enjoyed
climbing the trees and walking by the water. It was nice to get
out & get some much needed fresh air.
