Baby Everett ' s baby shower

We hit the road again. This time for California.  The main reason we were going was for Bryan & Jenny 's baby shower. The kids and I drove to my mom's, then the next day drove up to Sacramento. Saturday was the baby shower.  This baby is a big deal. Their first together, Bryan's very first baby. It was a woodland theme an oh-so cute! They got lots of great stuff.
We can't wait for little Everett to arrive!
 

Downtown Sacramento

While up for the baby shower my mom got us a hotel room right in Downtown Sacramento.  We were able to see the Governor's Mansion  (under renovation currently), state capital, and Old Town Sacramento. It was fun to stay right downtown. This was the second state we saw this summer.
 

14th birthday

Trevor is 14 now!!
We started the morning with blueberry pancakes and gifts from his siblings.

Later in the day, we went to the movies and saw San Andreas. It was pretty  good, but they were a few cheesy scenes.

For dinner we had pasta with sausage (a favorite of Trevor's). After dinner it was present time.  We got him his very first cell phone. We figured it would be a good time with him starting high school.
Grandpa pat gave him his first ever long board. Money from his other grandparents.  We decided to go on a walk so he could test out his new board.
He loves it! When we got back we sang happy birthday,  and had some pies. I think he had a great day! Happy birthday Trev!
 

4th

We woke up early to do our traditional driveway painting.  It took longer than normal, we even had to run to the store to buy more paint. It turned out great though.

We had a relaxing day after that. Trevor went swimming at a friend's  for a few hours. In the evening we had or fancy hot dog dinner.  When it was dark we did our fireworks.  Griffin actually bought a bunch with his own money. We bought a few too. It was a fun relaxing evening.
