Luminarias

I wanted to be sure to take the kids to see the luminarias this year. We've been here a long time and have never made our way down there on Christmas Eve.
I'm so glad we finally did. It was beautiful!

We drove over to see the "Christmas house" and baked some treats while watching movies last night.

Thanksgiving and our Christmas tree

We celebrated thanksgiving on a Tuesday.  We also went up to the jemez mountains and got our  Christmas tree. It was snowy and fun up in the mountains.  When we came home, we had a delicious thanksgiving dinner.

Dias de los Muertos & pneumonia

A friend and I had signed up to run a 10k on November 1st. Well, I had started to get sick. I had a cough and super sore throat.  Instead of canceling I decided to still go and just walk the whole thing. It was a beautiful morning,  but dang I was sick!  Turn out a few days later I found out I had pneumonia. I was really sick for a long time! I missed  7 1/2 days of work.
