Today it was Trevor's turn, he decided to make Jupiter cookies.
Right now they are studying space, and he is really into it. He has
a report due in a few days on a planet, he chose Jupiter. He made
these cookies and decorated them to look like Jupiter, he was very
proud of his work.

You like my barn?
So, I got this barn for free from someone here locally and knew right away
it would be for Savannah. She loves, loves, loves animals. She has
several shoe box sized bins filled with toy animals she loves to play with.
I decided it needed some paint to make it pretty, we went with traditonal
red and white. It turned out pretty nice. Still need to do some touch-ups,
but you can see how nice it will be. She is thrilled with her new barn.

Let's get cooking!!
This is what we got today
We finally were able to replace our junky, broken oven. We are very
happy with this new oven. Would be nice to have the matching
microwave, fridge and dishwasher, but for now
just this beautiful oven will do. Now what to bake?

Sweet Sunday
It was Griffin's turn. Since it has been a bit of a crazy weekend and
because we have been sick we opted to just go to Dairy Queen for dessert.
As always it was great.

Let the shots begin....
Trevor started his allergy shots this week.
He will be going 2x's a week for six weeks.
After that he will go 1x a week for 4-5 months.
It should go down to 1x a month for a year after that.
We hope this will give him some relief.
Only time will tell.

Sweet Sunday
It was Savannah's turn again today. She decided on s'mores made
in the backyard by campfire. Since I had plans to go to the movies
and see Valentines Day and have dinner with friends at Olive Garden
for my friends birthday, I helped Savannah prep everything before I left.

Still not looking or feeling 100%
The s'mores were a hit. The kids & Dad loved them!

I'm sure it will get better (right?)
The bathroom floors are sticky, there is blue stuff in the toliet and my
nice hand towels were used to clean. I'm sure they'll get the hang of it
soon, and get it will get done they way I want. Just trying to be happy
they are trying.

Valentines Day at school
The boys had their Valentines day parties today. Savannah is sick
with a fever so she had to miss her party. I think they had a lot of fun.
Here are some pictures.

Giving up some control
Since starting to work I have been tired exhausted! It's been a big change.
I feel like the house is getting more and more messy as the days go on.
I'm not a super neat freak or anything, but most people know I like to
keep the house tidy and clutter free. I've realized I'm too tired to do it.
The kids have daily chores to do, but I decided to add some extra ones
that have been getting neglected. I also told the boys for the first time
ever I would give them an allowance (I'm desperate).
I told them on Wednesday & Saturday I wanted them
to do their extra chores from now on. These include the following:
1. Backyard clean-up which includes dog poop, toys, any trash
(I have kids) and sweeping the back patio.
2. Trash duty which includes collecting all trash and taking it out.
Washing all the trash cans out and putting new bags in them, then
returning them to their places.
3. Cleaning the downstairs bathroom and the kids bathroom from
top to bottom (even mopping). They were (and still are) excited to get
started. I explained everything to them in detail. I realized I had to follow
them around and make sure everything was getting done the way it should
be. It seemed like it was way more work and took so long to get it all done.
They were happy about it though which was good. I decided to let them go
on their own for awhile and soon heard screams and fighting. One scratched
the other with the toliet brush, then the other squirted him in the eyes with windex.
I'm happy to report they are fine and the jobs got done and they did a pretty good
job. I hope it will get easier as time goes on. I need to give up a little control and
let them help more.

A QUIET dinner
Patrick & I were able to enjoy a nice quiet dinner tonight. Savannah's
school had a fundraiser event that we attended. For a mere $35.00 we
enjoyed a quiet dinner and free babysitting. While we ate the kids
played and made crafts, then enjoyed dinner themselves. All proceeds
went to her preschool, which I thought was great.

Snip-Snip
This is what I found on the kitchen floor last night.
When I asked Savannah in the morning if she cut her
hair she said " yes, I just wanted a little trim".
I talked to her about what we can use scissors for,
and told her where we go if she wants a trim.
Lucky it's not really noticable.

Origami
Today when I got home the kids showed me some origami cups
that Patrick had helped them make. We have had an oraiami
kits for years and never used it. Trevor came home from school
the other day with something he made in art class so, we got the
kit out so we could learn how to make some different things.
Griffin has been the most intrested. He spent most of the afternoon
making cups for everyone in the family and his teacher at school.
