Life.....

So Griffin is STILL sick.  We both had eye appointments this morning, and while we were waiting he threw up a bunch, then right after his exam too.  He's been sick for 9 days now.  We took him to the Doctor last week and he was offically diagnosed with influnza type B.  In the first 5 days alone he lost 2 pounds.  The Doctor has us trying a proboitic right now, and maybe if he stops throwing up he can try to go back to school Thursday.  If not this kid might end up in the hospital. He feels bad!!

 

Savannah's been needing some attention, and some new shoes, so I took her out to the mall to buy some shoes.  Although it was not the girl time she wanted, (she wanted to get our nails done) we still enjoyed hanging out just the two of us.

 

 

We did get quite a bit of work done in the kids bedrooms yesterday.  We ripped Savannah's carpet out.  It's now set for new flooring.  In the boys room, we finished painting.  Patrick did a great job painting a huge compass on the celing we are almost done with that.

 

 

We had rootbeer floats the other day, yum.

Trudging along

We've been pretty sick.  Today I went to the Doctor I'm on  antibiotics for a sinus infection.  Pat's still feeling cruddy, and Griffin missed all three days of school this week.  No school until next Tuesday due to parent teacher conferences and Presidents Day.  In total Griffin will have a nice 10 day break from school. Hopefully he's feeling better soon, he's missed all of his Soccer practices this week as well.  We managed to get some work done on Savannah's room. Pat got all the work done and installed her new celing fan and light.   It's looking good so far.  Today Savannah had her Valentines Day party at school, she came home with lots of goodies.  When I was at Griffin's conference today, his teacher gave me all his Valentine treats form his classmates.  We got a new bird, kinda spur of the moment.  His name is Miles. he's pretty cute.  I've made some treats in the last few days when I've felt up to it.  I also decorated  my friends yard for her 40th b-day!  We're  trudging along slowly.

A work in progress

Our house is a wreck right now.  We are in the process of many project, the first is re-doing the kids bedrooms.  All their furniture, and stuff is all over the house in various places.

I've started painting Savannah's room.  I've also removed all the baseboards, because we are putting wood laminate floors thurought the whole house.  It's slow going because both Patrick & I are not feeling great.

 When the kids got home from school, they all changed into grubby clothes, and started helping (wether I wanted them to or not).

 

Savannah's new temporary room (our closet).  I'll be moving the boys downstairs tomorrow.   This past weekend we took the kids for ice cream BEFORE dinner as a thanks for helping clear their rooms out.
