It was a fun night.  Trevor met up with friends, so for the first time ever we were without him.  Griffin's costume was pretty hard to put together.  It had some issues, but it all worked out in the end.  Everyone loved his costume.  People made same many comments about how awesome it was.  People even wanted to take pictures with him.  Savannah looked beautiful.  I love that I have one little girl who likes to dress up as sweet, pretty things.

Pumpkin carving party

Tonight we had our Halloween dinner & carved our pumpkins.  I love this tradition.  This year we went super simple, we are super busy & tired most of the time from work.

Dinner was: Bat wings (wing stop chicken wings), Spooky salad, bone breadsticks.

 

For dessert we got three candy apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

 

 

Next it was time to carve our pumpkins.

 

 

 

 

They all turned out pretty good!

 

 

We are now officially ready for Halloween!!

 

 

 

Growth spurt

I planned on posting this a long time ago, but life happens.
Inside our downstairs closet I measure the kids every so often (I really wish I started this when we moved in, they were so little), back in September I measured them again. Trevor has grown the most, 3 1/2 inches in the last 7 months!

Glasses

Trevor got his glasses today.  Turns out he is very near sighted in one eye.  The other eye is fine.

He like them, and we do too.  It really gives him a totally different look.  He did say though that now he wants a hair cut (he had been growing it out).  Maybe he thinks shorter hair with glasses would look better.

Fall Break

We are done with our fall break. To be honest, we didn't do much.
I've been sick. I stayed home from work on Wednesday. Thursday morning Savannah and I drove around and looked at the hot air balloons. Later in the morning she wanted to nake sugar cookies from one of her cookbooks, so I helped her with that. She played at a friends house for several hours, and brought cookies with to share.

Friday we just hung around most of the day. Late in the afternoon I finally went to the Doctor. I have a sinus infection. The doctor put me on antibiotics, hopefully soon I'll be feeling much better soon. Friday evening Trevor left for an overnight scout trip.

Saturday morning we went to Griffin's soccer game. It was super cold, but they played well and won! When we got home, Trevor was there waiting for us.  After an early lunch, Pat went to bed, Trevor headed to the park to play rugbey with some friends, while Griff, Sav, and I made a quick trip to the zoo.

After we came home, we relaxed the rest of the night. Trevor went to a friends to play board games, while the rest of us watched a movie. I prepped a yummy breakfast for our Sunday morning.

Sunday morning we enjoyed the delish pumpkin cinnamon rolls before heading to Church.

 

After Church, we decided to go to our local pumpkin patch.  The kids really enjoyed themselves!

 

It was a nice low-key break.

Savannah's scooter broke, luckily I had a new one hiding in the garage :)

Some guy crashed into my car leaving a soccer game.  It's been in the shop all week  :(
Won't be done till Monday.

Our sweet little nephew Jack is 7 weeks old now!

Awhile back Trevor earned a bunch of scouting awards.

We've enjoyed some beautiful sunsets!

It's Hot Air Balloon time again!

Our beautiful new Niece Zella is precious.

 

 

Savannah dressed up for spirit week at school.

Patrick & I have been sick.  I came home early on Wednesday, and stayed home Thursday as well.  :(

Patrick has been making some beautiful dinners!
