Final summer outing

Yesterday was our final family outing of the summer. Decided to go to the beach and have a campfire. On the way, we stopped at a restaurant called Camp 18 for dinner. It's  just like an old miners camp. There's all kinds of really cool wood carvings in Old equipment that they used during the mining and Lumberjack days. The food itself was mediocre at best, but the atmosphere was worth going to at least once.  It was fun to walk around and see all the stuff.

After that, we hit the beach!

We pulled into to the beach, found a perfect location and set up a little campfire  pit. We walked around on the beach, watched  the Sun go down the weather was perfect! It was seriously the best day at the beach we've had since we moved here. I'd say around 7:45 we lit the campfire fire and hung out. After a while we enjoyed roasting marshmallows and then s'mores. When it got fully dark we would go down to the beach in the pitch-black,  kind of a neat experience. When you turned around, and saw the glow of campfires all along the beach was beautiful. It looked like something from a magical land. It was so peaceful and relaxing sounds of waves crashing,  the laughs of people in the distance, seagulls squawking  it was wonderful. We stayed until about 10:45 at night enjoyed the campfire and telling scary stories.
It was a magical night.  I hope we do it again maybe it'll be a tradition for us!
