Lancaster, CA

Next we headed to Lancaster. We were staying with the Borsotti family who were so nice to host us. We spent our time visiting with them and visiting

Grandpa Pat & Grandma Debbie.
Our only real day there,

we met up with Grandpa and hung out at his house for a while saw horses, and other animals. We went and had lunch at the Habbit and hung out at their house some more, eventually we went to a jumping trampoline place for the kids. In the evening we went to Lancaster Boulevard to check out their cool Farmers Market and then we topped it off with dinner at a delicious Thai restaurant. It was good to see them.

Tucson, Arizona

Before we knew it we were on the road again. This time we were stopping at My sister's house in Tucson. We got there late afternoon, and then spent one full day with them. Not enough time obviously. First off, they recently got a new puppy named Lincoln that is so adorable! Wish we could've brought him home. We enjoyed our time with them, but dang was it hot there!  One night we even enjoyed super fancy shakes for dinner!

Albuquerque/Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Our second stop on the road trip was our old stomping grounds. We were so excited to finally cross the border into New Mexico! The desert there is really beautiful. We drove by our old house, and then quickly to the hotel where we would be staying. I was in a bit of a hurry because I was meeting a friend who bought us tickets to an Air Supply concert for my birthday. It was fun to see my old friend Tracye again. The concert was so much fun! The next day we all slept in. We spent our remaining time visiting with friends, old co-workers, eating at favorite restaurants and just driving around enjoying the sights. It was a really great visit. It made me realize that I've moved on, and I don't miss NM like I once did. It's a great place with lots of wonderful people and good memories, but it's not home anymore. I'm so glad we had the chance to visit. I even got a surprise birthday cake from my friend, I mean that sorta stuff doesn't happen in Portland, lol. Maybe it will always be like home in a way.

Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

The first part of our road trip found us in Lava visiting my Dad and stepmom. This might actually be the last visit there. Because they told us after we arrived, they plan on selling their house and then moving to Tucson, AZ.
We were only there for one evening and one full day. We did pizza out, ice cream, ridding and driving the rhino, swimming,
enjoying the horses and just visiting.

It was nice to see them, and enjoy their place possibly one last time.
