Saturday

Savannah woke up at like 4:00 in the morning with an earache.  I gave her some Advil, and
she went back to sleep.  When she woke up she seemed better, but would tell me her ear hurt
every once in awhile.

We went grocery shopping.... that was NO FUN with all 3 kiddos.  The boys are wild in stores.

I cleaned downstairs, made it look wondeful then messed it up again in no time   :)

I made some tasty dishes for Patrick to take to a get together he was going to tonight.

The kids played Archaeologist in the front & backyard, they used scooters for transportation.

By the time 7:15pm rolled around Savannah was feeling yucky again.  I felt bad for her.
I gave her a good dose of Advil and put ear drops in her ear.  I let her sleep in her sleeping
bag in my bedroom tonight.  Looks like we need to go to the Doctor.  Actually we all are
a little sick with cold type symptoms.  A day in the life of us.

Fun Sautrday!

A recipe & quick story

Overheard Griffin asking Patrick - Dad, do you have to go to regular college?
You know there is hair syle college & cooking college. I'm going to baking
college instead of regular college.

I could totally see that career choice for Griffin, he loves to help in the kitchen!

Doing what he does best (eating & reading)

Our family has a few favorite recipes that we love.  I've  been meaning to
post them, but never get around to it.  Tonight I made a family favorite and
I'm finally going to post the recipe.  When Griffin saw what what we were
having he said " I know what that is, AWESOME!"  We gobble this right up
every single time.

Grilled Chicken and Sesame Noodles

Chicken Marinade:

1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 teriyaki sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. ginger
2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
sesame oil

Mix marinade ingredients and toss with chicken.  Cover and refrigerate
for a couple of hours or overnight (I put it all in gallon ziploc)
Remove chicken from marinade, discard marinade.  Heat sesame oil
in large skillet over medium heat and add chicken cook 10 minutes
or so until done, adding more oil if needed.  Remove from pan
and cool slightly.  Slice into thin strips.  Keep warm.

Noodles:
1 lb. spagetti noodles
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup   sesame oil
1/3 cup sugar
4 scallions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sesame seeds.

Prepare pasta according to package. Drain.  In a jar add
soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar.  Shake to disolve sugar.
Pour sauce over pasta, add chicken, scallions & sesame seeds
toss together well & enjoy!

A New Year's Message

Happy 2011

I always find the idea of a new year fun.  It's nice to have a fresh start.  Hopefully this year
will be a great one.  The kids and I (Pat worked) stayed up till 10:00pm so we could watch
the ball drop in NYC.  We had a yummy dessert, party hats, horns and cider!

I made Molten Lava cakes, they were yummy!

Let's toast to a New Year!

They loved thier little party.

We hope you have a great year!
