Christmas Eve
We tracked Santa's moves on NORAD
Can't wait for Santa to come to our house!
We enjoyed lunch out with Grandma Shelley who is in town visiting her mom, brother & sister.
We made magic cookie bars for Santa and left oats carrots out for the reindeer.
The children were nestled all snug in their bed... well all except Griffin in who is on night 2 of sleeping in an overstuffed chair in my room because his is sick with a terrible cough. Can't wait for Santa to come to our house!

Winterfest Parade
Last night we took our kids to our city's Winterfest parade. It was lots of fun.
The kids were thrilled about all the candy they got. It's nice that our city does this
kinda family event.

Girls Day
Today I kept Savannah out of school and took her to
see The Princess and The Frog. It was really good.
A classic type Disney movie. I sure enjoy hanging
out with Miss Savannah May.

Trevor's Report
Trevor had to do a report & poster on a country. He chose Costa Rica, because it's one of the places he's been. Here he is showing off the poster he made.
Thanks Grandpa Pat for getting Trevor stuff for his report on your most recent visit.

A Krispie Cream sort of morning
The phone rang early this morning saying school would
be delayed 2 hours, then 3 hours, then it was cancelled
all together due to a communications tower being
damaged in the mountains. Patrick had remembered
that Krispie Cream was having their grand opening
today, so he loaded the kids up and went down there.
He said it was pretty crowded, but the kids loved it.
They came home with lots of yummy donuts and cute
Krispie Cream hats. Good way to spend the morning.
We also decorated out tree we bought yesterday.

Snicker Bar Express
When I was a kid we made this every year. When Trevor was a baby I asked my mom to send me instructions on how to make it. That paper has been sitting in my recpie folder since. Every year I had the intention of making it and every year I never did. This year I decided it was time. The kids had a great time decorating their Snicker bar Train, and the board we put it on. It will be a fun decoration to have in the kitchen.

He is just as sweet and easy as they come,
so we are all really enjoying having him here.

Thanksgiving in Tucson
We had a bunch of fun while visiting Aunt Kim, Uncle Mike, Shelby and baby Cooper.
I think the highlight of the trip for the kids was watching Santa Buddies under this cool fort.
Don't they all look so cute?
We went to a movie, played and played and played some more. Kim and I ventured out on Black Friday and did a little shopping which was fun (and we got some good stuff). The kids enjoyed a picnic on Turkey Day. After we finished eating the the guys made tons and tons of paper airplanes for the kids. Which they really enjoyed. The food was great, and the company was even better.
If you are wondering what my favorite part of the trip was it was this
He's such a cutie

A little pre- Turkey Day celebrating
Here is what Trevor and Griffin came home from school today with. Savannah made her hat yesterday for her school Thanksgiving feast. The last two days Trevor has been having Colonial days at school. He made had dipped candles, fresh butter and even a little broom. He has had a lot of fun learning about the colonial days. Griffin made this adorable turkey to decorate our table. On his back is a recipe for Gobble-Good Turkey Casserole.
Hope You All Have A Great Thanksgiving!
An ear infection
After being up all night long crying, I took Miss Savannah to the Doctor early this morning and found out she has a nasty ear infection. Here she is feeling better right before nap time. She is showing off some of the stickers she got from her Doctor visit.

Naughty kids
I got a package delivered the other night. Inside was a bunch of bubble wrap. I told the kids that they could jump on it ( you know enjoy the fun noises). The box also contained two huge plastic bags I also thought were bubble wrap, but I could not get to pop so, I put those back in the box. I went upstairs and let the kids get to jumping. I trusted they were being good and having fun until I heard them say
"yeah, it's snowing"! I went downstairs and discovered this :

Mom, Mom.....
It's snowing!!!
So... we headed out to the foothills and did a family
hike on this very chilly November day. It was lots
of fun and nice to be out in the crisp air.

Operation Christmas Child
The women in my Church recently had an activity that I was unable to attend. I thought is was something that would be great to do as a family. It's called Operation Christmas Child you can find out all about it here. I showed the kids a few of the short videos on the website and told them what we would be doing and why. Then we went to Target to purchase stuff for our boxes. Savannah and I did one for a girl 2-4 years old, while the boys did one for a boy 5-8 years old. The kids were excited to find stuff to put into their boxes. Right before checkout Savannah said "I sure do love buying stuff for this box". When we came home we assembled the boxes. We will be paying the $7.00 for shipping each box online so we can track where each box ends up. If your looking for a good service project to do with your kids this one is great! It's the Season Of Giving you can drop off locally just enter your zip code drop off week Nov. 16-23

Griffin this time
Griffin stayed home yesterday because he had been up early in the morning with a croupy cough and felt warm. I figured since he seemed ok all day long he'd be able to go back to school today. Boy was I wrong. He started running a roaring fever during the night and his cough sounded horrible. It's always someone sick at our house. We've actually had 7 doctor visits this week alone, and none of those included Griffin. Patrick's Uvula was enlarged. Trevor had an appointment with his allergist and a CT scan done of his sinus cavity. I had two appointments with the cardiologist and a few other appointments. It's been busy. Not looking forward to our co-pays going up in January.

Not again!!!
Well, we had a week with no sickness, but early this morning
Savannah started throwing up. I feel so bad for her. Hopefully
she'll be better before Halloween. Griffin was sad because
Savannah and I were supposed to go help in his class today
for his Fall Celebration. Figures that's the way it happens here.

Proud to be their Mom
share or just write about so that I can
remember. I think my kids are great!
This morning after we got home no boys
ran to play the Wii (which is something they
can only do on weekends). Instead the boys cleaned
up their room, then asked if they could
do the laundry for me. They helped each
other with some different crafts we've
been working on. They swept and mopped
the kitchen as well. After all their hard work
and so many kind words I put a movie on
for the kids. Griffin came up to me and said
"is there anything else you need from me"?
We took them all out to dinner, and as soon
as we all get in the car they all say "thank you
for taking us to dinner". These kids make me
smile, and I am very proud to be their Mom!
We have bad days just like everyone, but it
seems that they are just such great, happy,
thoughtful kids. Not bragging....just need to
put down somewhere how great I think
Trevor, Griffin & Savannah are.
On a side note we collected leaves yesterday and dipped
them in wax to preserve them. We got the idea from
