Spring has Sprung

Today it got up to 72 and tomorrow it's supposed to be 78
I'm happy to finally get some warm weather.  We decided to
get some work on our yard done since it was so beautiful.
We planted a new tree in the front yard, fed all the trees,
put up some wire fencing around trees in the backyard
and garden to keep the dog out and got a picnic area ready.
Since the kids were such a great help we took them out to
Dairy Queen for some ice cream. When we got home
we had a fire in th backyard to burn some old wood.

The kids decided to meditate by the fire!
It was so nice, it felt like a summer night.

Sweet Sunday

It's been awhile since I've done this for some reason or another.
This week it was Savannah's turn.  She used a cute cupcake kit
she got for her birthday.  She was thrilled being able to make
her very own cupcakes.  They were tasty too.

Yummy Pizza

Today Savannah took a field trip to Dion's with her preschool.
She had a blast with her friends.  She said the tour was "Awesome"!
We were running a bit
late, so she had messy hair.

Do you know the way to Santa Fe?

I didn't want my sister to go back home without doing anything fun, so we decided to take a
drive up to Santa Fe.   We walked around for a bit, then had lunch at  Cowgirl BBQ and
then took the kids over to the Childrens Museum.  It was nice to get out and go somwhere
for the day.  The kids had a great time in Santa Fe.

Savannah's Doggie Party

Savannah had a wonderful birthday party.  The day did not turn out as
I thought it would at all. At about 2:00am I woke up feeling sick and ended up
staying up  most of the night throwing up (yuck)!  Saturday moring we woke
up to lots of snow on the ground and more falling from the sky.  That meant
we would have to move Savannah's party at the park somewhere else.  I was
pretty sick all day long.  We decided to try risking Peter Piper Pizza to have her
party.  It was super crowded and there was only one small booth in the whole
place that was not reserved. The kids played games and had a blast!  She loved
her adorable doggie cake my friend Tracye made for her. As soon as she finished
eating cake she wanted to open her presents.  She adores all the fun
stuff she got.  It was nothing like I had planned, but the kids all had a good
time especially Savannah which is all that really matters.  I'm not sure
how I managed to hang in with the whole party.  A while after we got home
my fever shot back up and I was back to throwing up again.
All in all Savannah had a a great Birthday and I am happy for her!
It's fun to see her all excited about being 5

Happy Saint Patricks Day!

Things we've learned about Leprachauns

1. They can escape even the best built traps.
2. They are very, very messy and don't clean- up after themselves.
3. They are very kind and bring all sorts of fun surprises.
4.They are tricky & also super quiet.

Next year we'll catch one you just wait and see!!

My oh my, Savannah's turning five

Can't believe our little Savannah is five today.
We are finally done with babies and toddlers in our house,
which is happy & sad at the same time.  These 5 years have flown by.

Sick, but very Grateful

These are some of the things I've been taking to get better, along with a lot of sleep.

I've been super sick ,which is no fun at all.  I have also been very grateful
for such nice people in my life.  Patrick has been really helpful the last few
days.  He even cleaned our bathroom today while I slept.

My good friend Tracye offered to bring dinner today which I thought was
so nice.  It was really good too.  Savannah who hates potatoes ate her
beef stew right up.  I was shocked (she usually would have a fit about eating
potatoes). It was a yummy dinner and dessert.  I'm grateful that I have lots
of caring people around me.  Thanks everyone  :)

Cold morning and a nice afternoon

This morning Griffin had his first Soccer game of the spring season.
Let me tell you, setting an alarm on a Saturday morning is not my idea of
fun! It was early and super, super cold.  Griffin did good and was not
bothered with the weather.  When we got home I made the kids some
hot chocolate.

Later in the day it started to warm up.  It turned out to be a very nice
day.  After Patrick woke up we did some shopping at Costco, and while
driving home we decided to go on a late afternoon adventure.  We went
home, unloaded the car and got Cody.  We drove up to the Jemez Dam and
did a hike.  It was nice to get out and enjoy Beautiful New Mexico.

Ballerina Girl

Today Savannah started Ballet lessons.  She loves to dance, so this will
be perfect for her.  I can't wait to see her all dressed up for the recital in a
few months.  This is something I love about having a little girl, glad she's just
as into it as I am.
 Look at those skinny legs!

Jupiter

Trevor has a report on Jupiter due in the morning.  He made a paper mache
model of the planet.  Three reports down this year, one more to go.

Scary red eye

Yesterday Griffin was helping clean up some stuff in the back yard.
I'm not sure how but he ended up scratching his eye with a piece
of a rosebush.  I talked to the doctor and he said it was fine, it may
take awhile for the red to go away though.  Poor kid it was picture day
today too.  Hope he feels better soon.
