Holiday Projects

 

I found this cute Ninjabread cookie kit at the store, and knew the kids would love it.  We had fun making, and decorating the cookies.

 

 

I made this cute Snowman to hang on our front door.  I love the way he turned out! He looks so cute.

 

I also made a cute chalkboard sign to put out by the front door.  Everyday I put a new saying on the sign.  It's cute, and I think it's a fun way to decorate.

Early Thanksgiving

Since Patrick will be working on Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate early.  After church, we started prepping for our Thanksgiving dinner.   The kids all hung out in their thermals for the day, which I thought was pretty funny.

It was a nice relaxing Thanksgiving.

SNOW

We woke up to some snow this morning, after waiting for days!  We all got bundled up, and took a walk around the neighborhood.  It was so pretty.  After Church it was mostly melted.

It was really cold one afternoon after school, but Savannah was having a blast playing in the yard.  She was collecting plants to make a big salad.    I came out to see how she put her salad together.

Weekends FLY by...

The weekends really go so fast.  Here's what we were up to this past weekend.

Friday night I took the kids shoe shopping, they were in desperate need.

Saturday I got my haircut & highlighted.  I had about 4 inches taken off.  I think it's a little too blonde, but I'm getting used to it.

 

 

 Later in the afternoon I went to the Urgent care.  Yup, I'm sick, again!  I have a bladder infection.  I caught in in time luckily it had not spread to the kidneys yet.

 

 

Sunday we skipped Church and I slept most of the day.  In the afternoon it was time to put up the Christmas lights.  I did the easy part, the tree in the front yard.  Patrick & the kids tackled the whole house.  Savannah got up on the roof for the first time ever!!  She had to be forced, but is now over her fear.  We have never done the tallest peak of our house, but Patrick decided to this year.  It was a little scary watching him up so high, with the boys pulling back on the ladder so it wouldn't slide off the roof.  It was all worth it because it turned out beautifully!

Happy Veterans day off

First off Happy Veterans Day!! Here is a really old picture of Patrick & his siblings. Army, Air Force, Navy.

In my family two brothers and one sister were in the Army, one brother currently in the Coast Guard.

 The kids had school today, but Patrick and I were both off. We got to enjoy a rare date day.

We went out to breakfast at Wecks, yum!

We then did some window shopping for Christmas presents, and picked up supplies for a Christmas craft project I'm working on.  Next off, we went to the movies and saw Ender's Game.  It was good.  They did a really good job.  Sometimes when they make a movie from a book it's not very good, but we both really enjoyed it.

 

After the movie we went over to Menchies for a treat. 

 

After the kids were home from school we went for a family walk/scooter ride.  We looked at some construction near our house.  We decided spur of the moment to walk/scooter over to ihop for dinner.

 

It was such a nice day off.  Back to the regular grind tomorrow.

Yummy food

I had some time this afternoon, so I did sone baking/ cooking.
I made french onion soup for the first time ever. It turned out really good.
I also made several loaves of multi grain bread. It was a nice relaxing way to spend my afternoon.

Soccer Tournament

Griffin played in a soccer tournament this weekend. It was beautiful! It could not have been more perfect weather. We are done now till early Jan.  Their team did really good.


Game 1 they won 6~1
Game 2 they lost 2~3
Game 3 they won  7~4
Game 4 they won 7~1

We just found out they placed 2nd in their bracket! Griff's coach dropped off his metal a few minutes ago.
