Denver

We stopped in Denver on the way up to a family reunion in Idaho. The first night we had dinner,  then went to the movies to watch Jurassic World.  It was good!
We tried to save some money, and  stayed at a not so nice place, luckily we had our sleeping bags with us. That made sleeping on the bed ok.
Early the next  morning, we had breakfast at a really cute diner located right next to our motel. It was a really cute place with great food. After breakfast, we headed to the Denver mint for a tour. The tour was really cool! It was definitely worth having to book 30 days in advance. Now we'd like to go to Fort Worth, Texas to see paper money printed. No pictures  were allowed inside unfortunately. It was a beautiful old building.
After we finished at the mint, we decided  to do a tour of the  historic home of Molly Brown (Titanic survivor ). It was a beautiful home. Located on what the called millionaires row.
We loved the pantries inside the kitchen area, and the huge front porch!
By the time the tour was done, we were  hungry! There were tons of food trucks in the civic center, so we picked a few different  trucks, and then had some lunch. Our food was delicious. So fun to have so many choices.
We decided to take a quick peek at the capital building after lunch. Beautiful building. I think most capitol buildings are beautiful.
By this time  it was time to get to Water World. We decided to wait till 1:45 to go so we could get half price tickets.  It was the kids first time at a water park. We didn't take our cameras in, so no pictures of the fun. We all had a blast! It was opened till 6pm. We saw most of the park. Next time we'll do a full day. When we left, we were starving so we got some pizza before calling it a night.   We ate outside at a local pizza joint. It was a super busy day, but lots of fun.
The Denver area is great! We definitely would like to go back someday.
