Savannah's injury

Last week Savannah was doing her chores.  When it came time to take the trash to the curb, the trash can was super heavy.  She says it started falling backwards, and the lid flipped back a crushed her finger.  She came in screaming.  I put the boys on trash duty, and took her upstairs to take care of her.

 

I put ice on it for awhile, then made a little splint for her finger.  She hung out in bed until it felt better.   We kept it bandaged, but as time went on it looked worse & worse.

 

 

 

We decided to take her to the Doctor to have it looked at.  Turns out it had a nasty infection brewing.  He put her on some antibiotics, and after just a few days it looks so much better!!

 

I told her  if  her new nail grows in before school starts I'll take her to get a manicure. Looks like it will for sure!
