The Sandia Mountains are closed

We decided to take a drive up to the top of the Sandia's. We thought we would enjoy the beautiful view at sunset, and maybe do a little hike. We were surprised to find the road up to the mountain closed.

We don't have cable, and don't pay much attention to the local news... oops!  We had no idea they had closed the mountain due to extreem fire danger.  We parked our car and the kids played in the nearby area.  It had just rained and was beautiful & cool outside.
