Black Friday

This year I went shopping by myself.
I went to Bath & Body Works, my favorite place.  I love their bag this year.  It was loaded
with lots of goodies and even a 10.00 gift card!  Got all my holiday wall flowers, candles and
hand soaps.  We're set for the holidays.  I also went to Childrens Place & Old Navy.  The boys
in the family were in desperate need of clothes.  I got some good deals!  Since I didn't want
Savannah to feel left out I got her some boots and pj's.  It was a good morning.

Thanks to my sweet husband for staying with the kids!

Thanksgiving feast

Yesterday Savannah had her class Thanksgiving feast.  They (the kids) prepared the whole
meal.  Beef stew, corn bread muffins, pumkin pie & turkey cookies.  First they sang us
a few songs, which were super cute.  It was a fun afternoon spent with my kindergardener.

They made adorable hats ( Savannah wanted to be a Native American)
and friendship neckalaces.  I LOVE kindergarden!

Early Christmas present yay!

Patrick got this dream mixer as an early Christmas
present.  That way we have it to use for the
holidays.  We used it tonight to make some
yummy cookies, it worked like a dream.

I'm super excited!  Now that I've got this baby I'm
gonna try to work on becoming a better bread
maker.  My dough hooks on my old junky mixer
broke a long time ago.  We'll see how this one works.

Just Grateful

I'm grateful for a lot of things right now.

Since I am recovering from this surgey it is #1 on my mind.

1. I am grateful for kind & helpful people who have been helping
me these last few days.

2.  I am grateful for yummy food that people
have been making for our family.  I mean REALLY grateful!!

3. I am grateful for Percocet (seriously)  I have been in more pain
than I thought I would be.

4. I am grateful for my awesome husband.  He's been running
errands, doing dishes, laundry, dealing with the kids and letting
me have some good cries on his shoulder.

I am hoping that I'm on the up swing now.  I just wanted to say
how very grateful I am for all these wonderful things/people while
I recover.

Just a look at a few of the yummy things people have brought us.
People are SO kind!  I should have taken pictures of every meal.
Thank you everyone, it was greatly appreciated.

A new look

Savannah has been wanting to get her bangs cut for awhile.
I finally did it.  She looks so different, so much older.
I'm not sure how I like them yet.  It may take awhile.

The stylist said "if you don't like it you can grow
them out again."  Savannah said "yeah, it's not
the world."  She's so easy going.  The whole time
she was going on and on about how she was going
to look like Matilda.  She is thrilled with the end
result, wich is all that really matters.

What a day!

Yesterday morning I was scheduled for surgery.  I had to be there
at 6:30am.  Wouldn't you know that at 12:30am Griffin woke up
sick, and I mean sick! he was seriously up all night  long (me too).
Throwing up, fever ect.

I guess the surgery lasted about 35- 40 minutes they tell me.
It took me that long to wake up again.  My throat hurt and I
was in pain.  After I was allowed to leave we drove straight to
the pharmacy to drop off my perscriptions, then we went to IHOP
where Patrick went inside to order me an omlet and toast, then it
was back to the pharmacy to get my meds.
Got home, ate and went to sleep. Slept most of the day away.
Felt alot of pain.

Griffin also slept, and was super cranky.  I was glad Patrick was
dealing with him yesterday. He's doing fine today.  I feel better,
just super tired. I just woke up from yet another 3 hour nap.
I'm a little sore again.  Oh, if your wondering I had a
Hysteroscopy, D& C and Endometrial ablation.

What a day, Oh, what a day!

Yay, two at once

Savannah lost her two front bottom teeth today.
No effort, they just popped right out!
She is looking forward to her very first visit
from the tooth fairy tonight!

I'm grateful for Savannah

Our sweet baby girl.  So happy she joined our family.
Savannah has brough us pure joy since she was born
five years ago.  We are so pleased to have this little lady
in our family.

Some things I love about Savannah

1. She is super sweet & loving.
2. She loves to entertain us with singing & dancing.
3.She is always very egar to help with anything.
4. When I look at her I see pure beauty.

Some things Savannah loves right now

1. Dancing - She takes Ballet lessons and loves it.
2. Going to school and learning- She loves kindergarden
and is quickly learning how to read.  She has improved in
 her writting a ton!
3. Sneaking into bed with mom on the nights that dad works-
She always says it's because of a bad dream, but I think she
 likes the "girl time."
4. Playing with toys - She especially loves animal toys, she
says when she grows up she wants to be an animal rescue lady.

She is a super picky eater, whinny at times,a bed hog, but we
absolutly adore this sweet little ray of sunshine.  She is truley a
huge  blessing in our life.  We love her very much!  We are grateful
for her in our life.

I'm grateful for Trevor

Our first born baby, how we love him!
When you have your first baby you have no
real idea what it will be like.  We were lucky with
this handsome guy.  He's always been a great kid.  At nine years
old he is growing into an amazing young man WAY too quickly!

Some things I love about Trevor

1. He's kind- whenever he goes to a party he always comes home
and divides the candy  or toys between his siblings.
2. He's creative-  He's always coming up with drawings, stories ect.
3. He's mellow-  I love the fact that he is so down to earth & calm.
 4.  He's neat & organized- He is not a messy kid, always has
his clothes  laid out the night before, always knows where his stuff is.

Some things that Trevor loves right now.

1. Reading- He is also reading Harry Potter series
books,  1 ahead of Griffin
2. Scouts - He really enjoys going every week, speding
time  with other boys, earning awards.
3. Legos- He also is a big  Lego fan
4. Not the usual playground fun- Recently I heard this
conversation in the back of my car.  Trevor says, "When
you  finish your bunny  crackers, I need your bags guys, I'll take
them to  school and fill  them with dirt, then  sell them for rocks."  Then
I hear  him  say "yeah,  the price of  dirt has  been going down lately at
school." Made me  laugh.    He's not  your typical  nine year old.

He's hard to understand, easily frustrated, often too
reserved, so much like his mom it's amazing!
I'm grateful to have him in my life, what a blessing he has been.

I'm grateful for Griffin

I love this kid!  When I look back at how far we've come
I am so impressed.  Life with Griffin as a baby & toddler
was HARD!  I had some serious meltdowns while trying
to deal with this kid.  At seven years old, I am delighted
with the young man I see emerging.

Some things I love about Griffin

1.  He's funny, he is always trying to make people laugh.
2. He's super confident, not afraid to share his opinion.
3. He's very sweet, sensitive and loving.
4. He's always game to learn something new.

Some things Griffin loves right now.

1. Reading -he's currently reading Harry Potter series
2.  Cooking -This summer we had some friends over
and Griffin confidently said to one lady "You know, I'm the
3rd best cooker in the house!"  "What, you want me to prove it?!"
Tonight he made dinner, as I tried to correct him as he was stiring
something he said "How do you think I got to be such a good cooker?"
"It's because I try things differnt ways, mom."
3.  Building with Lego's - Always trying to build new things, take
pictures  and send them into LEGO magazine.
4.  He still is a Mamma's boy at heart -  Recently on a walk he was
walking back with me holding my hand.  I asked how much longer he would
do this.  He said " I always will mom, cause I love you!"

He's a wild man, sometimes too obnoxious,
sometimes overly sensitive, sometimes a bit lazy,
almost always messy, but I love him dearly!
He is a lot like his Dad, which is funny because I think
he resembles him the most.
I'm grateful to have him in my life!
