Soccer tournament in Tucson Day #1

We just got back from a nice long weekend trip to Tucson.  We left early on Friday morning, and arrived by early afternoon.  It was hot when we got there!  I guess the upper 70's is not hot, but it sure felt hot to us.  Our really warm days are mid 50's

We hung out at my sister's house (sans sister) for awhile before my brother-in-law took us to a cool burger joint.

Lindys on 4th was good.  Patrick got a weird sounding sandwich that had peanut butter and bacon on it.  He said it was amazing.  Patrick , myself, Griff, and Trev had to leave fast in time to get to Griffin's opening ceremonies for the soccer tournament.  On the way I spiked up his hair and put blue coloring in it.  They were suppose to have crazy hair for the parade.
There was so much excitement in the air! It was a fun fair type of environment,  He found his team and was given a cool face mask to wear.

After the parade, they had a fight with silly string.  Griffin had so much energy.  Getting a picture of him was hard because he would never hold still.

Next up, the team participated in several events for the soccer Olympics.  Each event went really well.  Our team got 1st or 2nd place medals for every event.  For the last event of the night Griffin was the keeper for the shootout.  He was so crazy, and wild we were worried he wouldn't do well.  Well, he pulled it off.  When the last kid took a shot on Griffin, he slapped it out of the goal, and knowing that meant that we won that event, his whole team ran to him, hugged him, and they all fell to the ground on top of Griffin.  It was seriously my most favorite park of the whole tournament.  His teammates love him.

Finally at about 10:00pm we headed back to my sisters house for the night.
