Tucson Day #2

Saturday morning after we all were up and ready for the day we headed out to breakfast.  My Sister & brother-in - law know all the great places to eat here.  We went to a yummy place called Frank's.
It was a little hole in the wall, but the food was delish.

After our bellies were full they took us to a large used bookstore.  Bookman's is a chain store with several locations in Tucson.  It put our favorite used bookstore to shame.  It was HUGE!  There was everything you could think of.  We all loved it.  Got some good books too.

Next up was Griffin's first soccer game.  They played well, and the game was tied in the end.  We were not impressed with the field conditions at all.

After the game we went to In N out for a late lunch.  We ate, then literally hung out outside for more than an hour.  The weather was beautiful, and they had a nice outdoor dining area.

It was then time for another soccer game.  They lost that game by 2 points, but played well.

The sun went down as they were playing.  As soon as the sun goes down it gets pretty chilly.

The last event of the night was the team dinner at Pinnacle Peeks.  We headed over there before our reservations because we knew there was some fun entertainment.  It's located in a place called Trail Dust Town.  It like an old wild west town replica.  Very cute.  First up was the little rides.

While we were waiting for our tables the kids visited the balloon artist.  Griffin got a sword and parrot on his shoulder, and Savannah got a unicorn.

We were a party of 42 so the wait for our food was rather long.  The did send a magician  to our table to keep the kids entertained.  They all thought this guy was amazing. My sister and her family joined us as well which was nice.   They have a tradition at the restaurant that you can't wear a tie.  If you do, they cut it off, and put it on their wall.  There are hundreds of ties.  People wear them now just to be part of the show.

Finally, we started getting our food.  The best thing honestly was the  appetizer we got.  It was a green chili, with cheese and shredded beef. It was served with warm tortillas.

By the time dinner was over, it was after 9:00pm

We look at the little town, did some panning for gold, they gave them each a little bottle, and they could fill it with whatever they could find. Then we rode the train (which I thought was really cute).  Then finally called it another late night.
