Disneyland - Vacation Day 25

We were all super excited to finally get to Disneyland!

We've never been there before the park opened before.  The night before a friend told us about a website called Ridemax.  It basically schedules out your day so you see everything you want to see without waiting in long lines.  For it to work best you need to be  right at the front when they finally let people in.  They hold the line at the end of main street until time to open.  It was really exciting to be there when they gave the announcement opening the park.

We headed to Peter Pans Flight first, then rode several rides in Fantasyland.  After that we headed to Toontown where the kids all rode Gadget's Go Coaster. Savannah & Griffin's first coaster ever. Griffin did alright, but defiantly didn't love it.

We saw quite a few characters in the morning.  It was fun to get our pictures with some of them.

In New Orleans square we stopped for a favorite snack.  Mint Julep's & Mickey beignets. Yum!

Savannah was finally big enough for Indiana Jones, she loved it!

The kids enjoyed picking out a special treat as a late afternoon pick me up at the Candy Emporium.  Afterward they enjoyed playing in what's left of the Penny Arcade. Next we had their silhoutte done. I've always wanted to do this.  It was so fast, and I love the way it turned out.

Good Daddy giving Savannah a boost so she could see the parade as we walked to the Tea Cups.

Funny story.  Patrick was with Savannah & Trevor in a tea cup. Patrick was trying to get Trevor interested in the parade going by, Trevor was way too cool to look.  Patrick said "Hey Trevor, there's Ariel."  Nothing. He could care less.  Then Patrick said "Oh my gosh, her seashells just fell off." And then that boy whipped his head around so fast to try and get a look. Hilarious!  Funny Dad!

Next up was the Matterhorn.  Griffin reluctantly agreed to give it a try.  It was all three kids first time on it.  Their first big rollercoaster.  Savannah knelt down while we were in line and said a little prayer asking that she be kept safe, it was really sweet.  I rode with Griffin sitting right behind me, and I did a lot of reassuring during the ride so he wouldn't  panic.  He survived!  He said that it was ok but he isn't sure he'll ride it again.  I gave him a huge hug and kiss and told him I was so proud of him!  He overcame a huge fear.  Savannah loved it!  She wanted to ride it again right away.  Trevor liked it as well, but I don't think he loved it like Savannah.  Progress....

We rode Star Tours for a second time.  We really love the changes they made a few years back!

We rode the jungle cruise at night which was fun.  The kids loved our guides jokes of course.  At one point he asked where we were from and we said "New Mexico!" He said "I'm sorry" So we repeated ourselves, then he said "I heard you the first time."

We had a super, wonderful, awesome, fun, fantastic day at Disneyland!! We never waited more than 10-15 minutes with the exception of Jungle Cruise we waited 25 minutes.  If you want to hit it all up, and not wait we recommend looking into Ridemax.
