Tijuana Mexico - Vacation Day 33

Today we had a slow start.  We hung around Grandma Nelly's house till late in the morning.

We drove down to the Revolution mostly just to shop.  It felt a little bit scary. We kept the kids right by us.  The coast felt much more safe. It was still fun, but not as relaxing as the coast.

After some shopping we went back to the house for a late lunch/early dinner.

Grandma Nelly made lunch for the kids and myself (we're not seafood fans).  Chicken with potatoes, refried beans, and tortillas.  It was yummy!

Uncle Renee made a seafood lunch for everyone else.  A shrimp salad, and fresh raw oysters bought from the fish market in Ensenada the day before.

We finished off with cookies of course.

By this time the neighbor boys were back from school, so of course a soccer game was started.

The kids really loved playing with Carlos (12),  Brian (9),  & Cesar (6)

After soccer, we decided to walk over to a local ice cream place with all the kids.

It's amazing to me that kids can form friendships so easily.  Even when speaking different languages.  The kids starting greeting each other each time they saw each other with a special handshake. They were teaching our kids Spanish, and our kids were teaching them English.  When they played soccer it was funny.  Our kids were counting in Spanish, while these boys were counting in English.

They were such nice, polite boys.  Glad we got the chance to meet them.  Maybe we'll see them again one day.
