Pea Soup & the Beach - Vacation Day 20

We stayed at the hotel and relaxed until it was time to check out.  When it was time to hit the road again we decided to drive to Andersons Pea Soup for lunch.  It's a fun restaurant/gift shop that's been around for many years.

The kids have never been, so we were excited for them to go.  I knew Trevor would order the pea soup since he loves all sorts of soup.  The other kids did not get any.  I think Patrick might have had them try a bite of his. They were not impressed (picky eaters)

There soup is delish, and so was their bread.

They have a bakery inside, so when we were leaving everyone picked a treat to take in the car.  Savannah picked this huge sugar cookie.

We drove down the coast for awhile, then spotted Refugio state beach.  We decided to get a day pass, and let the kids enjoy the beach.

Both Trevor & Savannah made friends with kids their same age.  Griffin spent lots of time making a sandcastle (he actually made one every beach we went to).

It was a fun afternoon.  I'd love to go camping there someday.  Looks like a pretty nice place.

After we all changed we got back in the car, and drove down to Santa Barbra for dinner.  We picked a small pizza place that had good reviews.  It didn't disappoint.  Very tasty.

They made homemade cannoli's there too.  We had to get some for dessert.  Delish!

We stayed just outside of Santa Barbra for the night.
